A meeting among Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Centre and the United Democratic Madhesi Front has delayed the PM election at the Parliament scheduled for 11 am.

The meeting has not begun yet as of 11:35 pm.

It has been learned that the NC and the CPN MC are carrying out their 11th-hour efforts to bring the agitating UDMF on board the government.

The three forces had prepared a draft of agreement on Tuesday, but had failed to sign it owing to some differences over the draft.

Meanwhile, Speaker Onsari Gharti is holding consultations with chief whips of major parties of the Parliament to discuss today’s House schedule.
