At Kathmandu many dead chickens were supplied from outside valley in an illegal way which were not yet caught by police. Today police and respective central department caught a van which was carrying dead chickens which were supposed to supply to different hotels and meat shop of Kathmandu. Those dead chicken are unhealthy as well as it may be victim for many diseases and such chickens would have reached to many kitchens which will invite different diseases and viral flue in Kathmandu. Every day people around the world decide to take up a sport, hit the gym or work to improve their health and body. To an outsider, the muscle-covered bodybuilder is a perfect specimen of what heights humans can get to physically. Bulging and rippled, professional bodybuilders can be an impressive sight to behold during competitions. Yet, in this sense, the sport can sometimes be a complete façade. First, muscles and healthy looking exterior doesn’t necessarily mean a healthy interior and more than one bodybuilder has been known to die from poor health. Second, and linked with poor health, is the almost taboo topic of steroid use. Many bodybuilders use them and defend their decision by often stating that proper use is safe. Medical experts have continuously outlined the dangers of steroid use and linked chemical use with everything from heart and kidney failure to cancer and emotional instability.
All of this means that in the world of bodybuilding, competition can often push many individuals to extremes. Sometimes their bodies just can’t handle it. Other times, using steroids makes the situation worse, amplifying conditions which already existed. Finally, there are those whose competitive nature gets the best of them, making them do foolish or dangerous things they otherwise wouldn’t attempt. KATHMANDU: Caretaker Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said his party, the CPN-UML, would not join the new government likely to be formed under the leadership of CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Oli told a Maoist team led by Dahal, who had reached the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar this afternoon, that the party could not join the government to be formed in coalition with the Nepali Congress as the NC earlier had refused to join the UML-led government.

“The Nepali Congress has been making its view public in the Parliament as well at other public forums that the Congress and the UML should not be in the government together,” Oli’s press adivisor Pramod Dahal quoted Oli as telling Dahal, “If the Congress is ready for national consensus, it should clarify its position publicly at first.”

During the meeting, Oli also expressed his dissatisfaction over the understanding between NC and CPN MC to hold local body elections by mid-April next years, for which the UML was not consulted.

He also questioned intention of the NC-Maoist alliance as the parties are planning to change the government and hold local body elections around the same time in March-April next year, according to Oli’s press advisor.

The PM, however, maintained that major political parties should come together on issues of national interest, according to Dahal’s Secretariat.

While Dahal was accompanied by another Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the UML was represented by leaders Bhim Rawal, Subas Chandra Nembang, Bishnu Rimal and Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal.

Girls are told thatthey will be taken to North America however they never made their way to there. Human trafficking is a crisis in Nepal. Every year, up to 20,000 young girls from the poorest parts of the country are sold or lured by traffickers with promises of marriage or good jobs. Casualties of poverty, illiteracy and a caste system that does not value girls, they are forced into Indian brothels or domestic servitude. In either case, they are slaves. Many are HIV positive within two years, and dead before they reach twenty.

Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav is about to be incarcerated for six days more, after a Supreme Court ruling, today. Yadav had been sent to a 10 day-judicial custody by the Delhi High Court for filing a false affidavit. The actor had ended up spending four days in judicial custody, from December 3, 2013 to December 6 2013, succeeding which a division bench of the High Court had suspended the sentence on his appeal. Earlier this week, the Apex court had called out the Welcome Back actor for not paying money to Delhi based businessman, M.G. Agarwal of Murli Projects, who had filed a recovery suit against the actor and his wife over failure at repaying a loan amounting to rupees five crores, despite having given repeated undertakings before the court, citing his conduct as ‘inexplicable’.

If things don’t work out as planned, the policy owner has to absorb the cost and pay a higher premium.

KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday held a meeting with Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa and asked the latter to support him in the prime minister’s election likely to be held later this week.

According to Thapa’s aide, Mohan Shrestha, Dahal sought support from the RPP-N in the new government formation process.

In response, Thapa said he would take an appropriate decision in consultation with the party.

Thapa is one of the deputy prime ministers of the outgoing KP Sharma Oli-led government.

The fourth largest political force in the Parliament, the RPP-N earlier had decided to support Oli till the last minute of his government.

Dahal, however, is in a bid to become the prime minister with the support from the largest party at the House, Nepali Congress, and as many parties as possible.

The Maoist party was the second largest coalition member of the Oli government before it pulled out of the government two weeks ago and moved a no-confidence motion against Oli at the House.

The Ministry of Health and Population has directed private hospitals and nursing homes to operate from their usual station only after ascertaining the safety of their buildings.

The ministry will verify the assessment made by the health facilities before allowing them to resume operations. The ministry has also asked community and NGO hospitals to resume services only after a thorough assessment of their buildings by authorised agencies and engineers. The report should then be submitted to the ministry which will assess the hospitals’ capacity to function.

The directive comes in the wake of the strong aftershock on May 12 which is believed to have inflicted further damage to hospitals and health centres.

“We will take stern action if we find hospitals to be operating without our consent,” said Dr Guna Raj Lohani, spokesman for the ministry. “The hospitals will be responsible for the loss of life and property caused by their carelessness.”

According to the ministry, 260 state-run health facilities have been destroyed while around 500 have suffered damage in the earthquakes. Six private health institutions also faced loss of property.

In Kathmandu , government teams have marked five hospital facilities unsafe for immediate use. The Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC), after studying the situation in 20 hospitals, marked five buildings “Red”. These includes a block of Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, Thapathali; new ICU and oncology ward of Bir Hospital; Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku; Block A of Patan Hospital; and Emergency block of Bhaktapur Hospital.

DUDBC officials say that a majority of the old hospital structures were affected. The ministry has decided to conduct post-disaster assessment of the health infrastructure in the 14 worst-hit districts.

A rapid assessment done by the World Health Organization and the ministry after the April 25 jolt had shown that district hospitals in Ramechhap, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchok and Rasuwa had become dysfunctional.

The United Nations said in its situation report that around 90 percent health facilities located outside the headquarters of the 14 districts were badly hit.

In yet another fatal accident, a woman died on the spot when a Nepal Oil Corporation tanker rammed a motorbike from behind at Tinkune, Kathmandu on Tuesday evening.

The tanker (Na 2 Kha 2735) heading towards Baneshwor hit a motorcycle (Ba 52 Pa 5824) moving in the same direction at Tinkune, killing the woman and injuring her husband. She was riding pillion on her husband’s bike.

The deceased has been identified as Heera Lama of Kavre district. Her husband is Ganesh Lama.

The tanker driver, Bir Bahadur Ghalan, 52, of Makwanpur tried to flee the scene soon after the accident. However, police managed to nab him immediately with the help of locals. He is under police custody at Metropolitan Police Circle Office , New Baneshwor.

The tanker was trying to overtake the motorcycle when a bucket hung between its tyres hit the bike. The women fell on the road and got run over by the tyres killing her on the spot.

The injured husband, Ganesh Lama has been receiving medical treatment at Civil Hospital.

Kathmandu:In a letter was received before 5 days to Sunsari administration the Indian administration has informed that there have been plans by some terrorist organisations to attack the Kosi Barrage. Sunsari Chief District officer Mohan Chapagain said the letter came from Tribarpur District Magistrate (DM). He also said “We have tightened the security of koshi barrage and every other borders. We have sent in Special Armed police force in the barrage. Likewise we have initiated a security checking on both sides of the barrage.” This information has come out after the Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing’s reported that the Kosi barrage could become a potential target for terrorists organization.

According to local daily Okaz, the bride immediately collapsed in a fit of tears as panicked wedding guests stepped in to try to resolve the dispute.

But their efforts were to no avail.

‘The groom said he had not been able to see his bride’s face before marriage,’ Okaz reported. ‘When he divorced her, the bride collapsed and the wedding turned into a night of tears.’

Life has been adversely affected due to continuous rise in the water level in various major rivers in Tarai districts caused by incessant rainfall in the last couple of days.Water flow in the Saptakoshi River was recorded 280,365 cusecs, which is the highest this season. With the water level rising, 35 sluice gates were opened and the red light was switched on at the top of the barrage.Water level is expected to rise further as the rain has not stopped in various hill districts.People living downstream of Saptari and Sunsari have been advised to move to safer places due to growing fear of disasters.

Meanwhile, more than a dozen villages have been inundated due to the flooded Rapti River in Banke. Various villages such as Holiya, Phattepur, Gangapur, Matehiya, Betahani, Khashkushma, Kachanapur, Baijapur, Binauna among other VDCs of the district have been submerged. “Though property worth millions has been destroyed, no human casualty has been reported so far,” informed District Administration Office, Banke.

According to Chief District Officer Rabi Lal Panth, around 200 flood victims of Holiya Chaupheri, who were stranded in the flood, were rescued by a Nepali Army helicopter today. They were rescued and taken to Khadaicha of Holiya. “All the people of Phattepur have moved to safer places,” said CDO Panth.

Narayani River has witnessed this year’s biggest flood on Tuesday.The Flood Forecasting Division at Department of Hydrology and Metrology has asked the people from Devghat to Triveni, Nawalparasi to stay cautious till tomorrow morning as the water level is on the rise.The water level in the river has crossed the danger mark, 8.4 meters.Information Officer at District Development Committee, Balram Luitel said that the water level in the river was 9.6 meters at 3pm.Water has gushed inside the settlement of landless squatters.Meghauli Divyanagar of Eastern Chitwan is at a high risk as the river has continued to erode land, according to a local, Krishna Bhurtel. -
